Created and copyrighted by Executive Director Davyd Hall, and serving as the core competency model for the National Center for Racial Equity and Inclusion, the DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) Foundational Model is a hybrid model comprised of a foundational approach with five core equity competencies. The DEI Foundational Model serves as a primary framework for which the NCREI provides services to leaders, organizations, and communities through consulting efforts, including training, workshops, coaching, and other developmental activities. To navigate properly, the model requires fair organizational commitment and ownership of actions that promote the awareness and agility of an organization. In addition, DEI explorers should prepare to view the model in a paralleled approach within an organization’s internal and external impacts. With proper exploration of the model, attendees will discover the "science" of strategy and measurement to their DEI efforts, in addition to the "art" of proper implementation.
